Generators · Chino Hills, California
Public safety power shutoffs and winter storms make generator installation in Chino Hills less of a luxury than it used to be. We size standby units against your real load, set the pad, run the gas and electrical, and wire the automatic transfer switch so Chino Hills, California homes and shops cut over without anyone flipping anything.
Scope of work
Whether you searched for generator installation Chino Hills, whole house generator installation Chino Hills or simply electrician near me, this is the crew that turns up. We work across Chino Hills and the neighbouring California towns, and we give you the price for the described work before anything starts.
How it goes
Tell us what is happening and where. Emergencies get triaged on the phone — sometimes the first thing we do is tell you which breaker to shut off before we arrive.
We open the panel, test the affected circuits and tell you what is actually wrong, including the parts you would rather not hear.
One number for the work described, before it starts. Options where there are options — the repair now versus the replacement that stops it recurring.
We do the job, label the circuits, clean the space and walk you through what changed and what to watch for.
Reviews
Two EVs, one 100 amp panel, and three other companies who said it could not be done. Ascot did the load calc, upgraded the service and put in load-sharing chargers. Both cars charge overnight now.
Our 1948 place still had knob and tube in the attic. They rewired it in stages so we never lost power to the bedrooms, and patched better than the last contractor we hired.
Breaker tripped every few days for a year. Two other electricians replaced the breaker. Ascot found a back-stabbed outlet behind a bookcase in about forty minutes. Fixed and done.
Questions
It depends whether you want the whole house or just essential circuits — fridge, furnace, well pump, a few lights and outlets. Essential-circuit setups are considerably cheaper and cover most Chino Hills outage scenarios.
It is the device that disconnects you from the utility and starts the generator when the power drops, then switches back when it returns. It is also the safety element that stops your generator backfeeding the grid.
Yes — with an inlet box and a breaker interlock kit at the panel. Never run a portable generator through a suicide cord into an outlet; that backfeeds the line and it is how utility crews get hurt.
Standby units need periodic exercise cycles, oil and filter changes and battery checks. We set up the schedule at installation and can maintain it afterwards.

Routine repairs in Chino Hills are usually same-day or next-morning. Emergency calls are dispatched immediately and we give you an honest arrival window on the phone rather than a vague four-hour block.
