Rewiring · Mammoth Lakes, California
House rewiring in Mammoth Lakes is the long-term answer when a home still runs on knob and tube, cloth-sheathed cable or aluminium branch circuits. We plan whole house rewiring in Mammoth Lakes, California room by room so you keep power in the parts of the house you are living in while the old wiring comes out.
Scope of work
Whether you searched for whole house rewiring Mammoth Lakes, house rewiring Mammoth Lakes or simply electrician near me, this is the crew that turns up. We work across Mammoth Lakes and the neighbouring California towns, and we give you the price for the described work before anything starts.
How it goes
Tell us what is happening and where. Emergencies get triaged on the phone — sometimes the first thing we do is tell you which breaker to shut off before we arrive.
We open the panel, test the affected circuits and tell you what is actually wrong, including the parts you would rather not hear.
One number for the work described, before it starts. Options where there are options — the repair now versus the replacement that stops it recurring.
We do the job, label the circuits, clean the space and walk you through what changed and what to watch for.
Reviews
Smart switches in a 1970s house with no neutrals anywhere. They ran neutrals to nine boxes and everything works from the app and from the wall.
Straightforward quote, no upsell, showed up when they said. Added four outlets and a dedicated circuit for the freezer in half a day.
Storm took out our weatherhead. Ascot got the temporary sorted the same afternoon and the permanent repair inspected within the week.
Questions
Less than most people expect. We work circuit by circuit and stage the job so you keep power in the rooms you are actually using. Access is usually through attic, crawlspace and small targeted openings rather than opening every wall.
Two-prong outlets throughout, a fuse box, cloth-covered cable in the basement, warm switch plates, or lights that dim whenever an appliance starts. Knob and tube and aluminium branch circuits are the two that most often force the decision.
Not always. Where a full replacement is not practical, approved connectors at every device and junction are an accepted remediation. We will tell you which route makes sense for your house and what each one costs.

Yes, on any work that requires one — service and panel upgrades, rewires, new circuits in some jurisdictions, and most commercial work. We pull the permit and schedule the inspection as part of the job.
